Slow living and birthday celebrations

Hello friends,

I’ve been embracing slow living. This is what the past few weeks around here have looked like…

Out for a walk along Marine Parade in Napier. (There was a chilly breeze that day but more often it’s been warm and summery.)

Received exciting mail from Paris. (Alix kindly offered to send me the October post. What a treat!)

And lovely mail from Arizona too.

Hosted ladies afternoon tea for my birthday.

Received lovely gifts. (This one was from my mum.) I love the smell of Clarins products.

Had a decadent steak frites dinner with gorgeous red wine (and my favourite summer vegetable asparagus, yum.) I left the Best Foods mayo jar that Paul was using in the photo to keep it classy, haha.

Bought myself two thrifted Barbie dolls that I found, just for fun.

Finished this wonderful book today. I have loved all Annabel Monaghan’s books and Dolly All The Time was no exception.

And dressed Daphne and Chloe up in their ladybird harnesses, complete with wings, for Halloween. This was a different ladies afternoon tea at my aunty’s this time.

And apart from embracing slow living and birthday celebrations, I’ve also finished my next book. I’m letting it marinate right now, and doing some edits. I’ll let you know when it’s ready :) Soon!

I hope you’re doing well and that you’re enjoying the little things. It’s exciting to be in November too now. I’ve written out my November wishlist which involves being present and enjoying the month.

Here’s to a positive, sparkling, light-hearted November!

xx Fiona

PS. I’ve noticed Christmas advertising on tv now that it’s November. We are hosting this year so I am getting a head start on planning and dreaming :) How about you? (My Christmas book is here on Amazon.)
