Merry Christmas friends! Here Paul and I are at his Christmas do. The venue and the tree were just gorgeous.
I’m wearing my Lauren Ralph Lauren dress I bought from Macy’s last time we were in Hawaii a couple of years ago. I love it!

The Cat Coach Cafe podcast I was on last month with the lovely Monie, has a Christmas special out where me and other guests share their Christmas favourites and how they celebrate with their cats, plus our New Year’s wish for them and Christmas wishes.
How cute does that sound? Go here to Monie’s Substack for links if you’d like to take a listen.

When I held my Black Friday sale a weeks back, I included a code for 50% off anything in my eStore.
Unfortunately I didn’t see that it had an expiry code from this time last year from my previous annual sale, so didn’t update it.
I’m so sorry if you went to purchase and the code didn’t work!
I’ve fixed it now, so have extended my eStore sale for another few weeks just in case you want to get any eBooks or eAudiobooks for the holiday season.
The code is HALFPRICEHAPPINESS and you can find my eStore at payhip.com/fionaferris.
Happy reading and apologies again! And thank you to the kind reader who emailed me with the error š

This is my last post for the year, and I’m going to take a couple of weeks off over Christmas and New Year.
I’m actually having a bit of a unique Christmas. On Christmas Eve I’ll be going into hospital for breast cancer surgery, so Christmas day will be quite different this year.
I’ve been told my cancer is small, and it was caught early through screening. Fingers crossed that remains the case after surgery.
So yes, a bit of a clanger to end the year on!
But I’m also so grateful. Grateful to live in a country like New Zealand with fully funded healthcare (and where anything to do with cancer is fast-tracked).
Grateful that it was found before I even knew there was a problem, through regular public health screening systems.
And grateful for the care I’ve received so far.
So I’ll be resting up on Christmas Day happy to have my surgery behind me. I am apprehensive, but also optimistic and feeling positive.
If you’ve had a big health diagnosis this year I’m right there beside you, and if you haven’t, yay for that. Health is the real wealth š
I’ll see you in a few weeks and I hope you have a fabulous and wonderful holiday period. Please have a glass of champagne for me on New Year’s Eve!
With all my love, Fiona

I’m so sorry to hear you have breast cancer but so glad you caught it early. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI agree, health is true wealth. I have some posts scheduled for next week, but then I will take about ten days to enjoy my home and my pets, wake up leisurely, and enjoy the days. Merry Christmas and may 2026 be a peaceful one!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry to learn this. Prayers to you and your family. I hope the surgery goes smoothly, and you receive good news and the gift of good health. Merry Christmas and Healthy New Year!
ReplyDeleteDear Fiona,
ReplyDeleteYour lovely books have always cheered me up and made me feel more positive. Wishing you all the best, get well soon.

Thank you kind friends :)
ReplyDeleteWell, that’s an unusual way to spend your Christmas Day. But as someone who had a small tumor seven years ago, I know getting it out is the best gift of all. So sending you best wishes for a quick and easy recovery and a great prognosis.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are doing well. Yes I am looking at it as the best Christmas present too :)
DeleteFiona, Merry Christmas! I'm so sorry about your diagnosis and surgery. I pray it all goes perfectly and your recovery is very speedy. Take care and I'm sure you will spend your down time thinking of many more books you want to write :) Blessings to you and Paul.
ReplyDeleteDear Fiona, I will be holding you in my thoughts. As a cancer survivor myself, I know the importance of positivity, and you are such an inspiration of positivity, for yourself and all of us. I believe that you will get through this with your usual sparkle! Much love and prayers. š
ReplyDeleteFiona, I wish you well and a speedy recovery in 2026.
ReplyDeleteLove to yourself, Paul and wider family as I'm sure this isn't easy for them either.
I'm looking to see what your next book in 2026 is all about.
Keep on writing.
